Dear Claudia, there are two exisiting theories: The first says that melatonin should not be used with autoimmune deseases like allergies, since melatonin stimulates the immune response. The second one says that nontheless melatonin stimulates the immune system, allergies are not worsened by melatonin, because it regulates the immune response in a positive way.
